After receiving a Business Degree from the European University in Monteux, Switzerland, Liz moved to Nashville and started a career as a writer/ producer on Music Row. While she was working she began her education in body work as a way to relieve stress from the day to day challenges of her job. Her interest in the body's ability to heal itself drew her to this field, and eventually led her to examine the crucial role the lymphatic system plays in this healing process.

Liz earned her license in Massage Therapy from Nashville's Natural Health Institute, and began learning more about the emerging practice of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, along with its growing recognition among hospitals and physicians. "I have a deep interest in all types of bodywork, but maintain the lymphatic system just makes sense to me - it's the body's main defense against disease - and if it's not functioning properly, it can open the door to many ailments," she says. It not only helps the body to heal at a more rapid rate after injury or surgery, but can also help with symptoms of seasonal allergies by helping the body flush out the offending toxins."

After taking an introductory class at Upledger Institute studying the Bruno Chnkly method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, she decided to continue her study of the lymphatic system at the renowned Academy of Lymphatic Studies, where she was taught the Vodder Method. The intensive study course gave her a deep understanding of the physiology of the lymphatic system and how to manipulate the flow of lymph to attain optimal functioning. "Not only is the treatment relaxing and nurturing, but it helps to rid the body of toxins we put into to it through foods we eat and chemicals we are exposed to in our daily lives."
